One of my users is experiencing faster speeds through a dial-up connection than with his broadband connection. For normal web stuff he usually gets 800K+ on his broadband connection. But, for Notes, he sees speeds almost twice as fast with his 56K dialup than he gets with broadband. There are definite performance issues with his broadband connection, when using a VPN connection, but it should be resolved by connecting without the VPN connection. With his current Notes connection, is there any kind of encryption similar to what goes on with a VPN? Right now, with Notes and VPN connections often being as slow or slower than a dialup, it's almost worth dumping broadband until cable internet becomes available.
